To a great 2013! More team members, new version, and California love

Hi everyone,

Even though we’ve been a bit quiet on our blog since we’ve announced our acquisition by Jive a little over a month ago, we’ve been really hard at work.

Just thought I would update you guys on what’s going on.

BRAND NEW VERSION

Omg

Well, we’ve rolled up our sleeves and accelerated development on V4, which is our upcoming (KILLER) product update coming up Q1 of 2013.

V4 in a nushell is : way faster, brand new design, brand new apps, more collaborative features (we’re taking this to a whole new level), and lots of surprises.

We believe that this is going to be – by far – the best product we’ve ever shipped. We’re really proud of this one, and is the fruit of so many years learning from our users and customers.

CALIFORNIA

2012-12-11_18

We’ve started relocating our team to Palo Alto, CA, and can’t be happier with the team of Jivers we’re joining. Exceptional team of passionate individuals working on some very ambitious projects for the next couple of years. What’s even more exciting, is how commited they all are about making Producteev, and the Jive+Producteev integration a success. Trust me, you will love what’s coming out of this.

NEW HIRES

Welcome-new-employee

To be able to achieve all of those projects, we’re looking to grow our team, especially on two fronts : Front End Engineer, and Back End Engineer. If you got what it takes and want to change the Productivity landscape, Hit us up, or simply share those two offers with your network, this will definitely be a fun ride. As far as the location of those two jobs: either Paris, France (to start, then relocation to California), or Palo Alto, CA.

That’s it for now folks, so let me take this opportunity to wish you all a fantastic 2013 filled with love, joy and dreams.

Thanks for the continuous support, and stay producteev!

Producteev is now part of Jive Software! And why everyone wins.

We’re very excited to share some big news with you: Producteev has been acquired by Jive*, the leader in Social Enterprise Software. When we started Producteev four years ago, the vision was to improve the way people were tracking tasks by creating an open platform with lots of entry points for your personal or team to-dos. After many product iterations, we finally found our sweet spot in 2010, and started improving our service month after month. Slowly but surely, we became available on different platforms such as iOS, Android, Mac desktop, as well as e-mail and IM.

In a couple of years, with a little less than $1.8M in venture funding, Producteev has become one of the heavyweights in the Task Management space, with over 2,000 paying corporate accounts today and growing. We wanted to go way further, and start offering a lot more to our current customers. We’ve been working on a brand new version for a couple of months already, and believe me, it’s like nothing we’ve ever done before. Stay tuned on this.

We had a couple of options for the future, like raising a bigger round, but Jive approached us with a highly seducing one: “We love what you do, we love the product, join us, and we’ll give you more resources to build a real software leader”.After spending a lot of time with multiple teams at Jive, our conclusion was that they were the kind of smart and nice people we really wanted to work with, who understand where we’re going with Producteev.

NOTHING IS CHANGING, PRODUCTEEV WILL ONLY GET BETTER, FASTER.The good news: Producteev will be even stronger in the coming years, with more resources, with lots of amazing updates to the product, news apps (!!), and obviously, smart integration points to Jive, so you can collaborate with your team on more than tasks (think discussions, blogs, ideas, files…). Check out Jive’s cloud product here.

THANKSI want to take that opportunity to thank all of you, our users, friends, supporters, who have followed the journey. You were the ones giving us the strength to keep trying during the tough times, so thank you.
A big THANK YOU to our investors and advisors (Doug, Oleg, Pascal, Dan, Florian, Jeremie, Christian and Christophe, Arthur…), who supported me no matter what. We owe you a lot. To Aric, my co-founder and CTO (and brother-in-law): you’re the man. To my team (Arico, Je, Ju, Ish, Bruno) : I am so proud of all you guys, you brought us here, that’s what make me excited to continue this journey all together.

As for our team’s next step, we’re all going to Jive, and the majority of us (including myself), will be moving to Jive’s headquarters in Palo Alto, California. We’re now back full speed working on V4 preparing some big surprises for you.

Onward!Ilan.

Producteev among top 15 private On-Demand and SaaS companies to watch in 2011

AlwaysOn is proud to introduce the second annual OnDemand 100—the top emerging Internet companies disrupting the established enterprise and pioneering cloud computing and SaaS.

The AlwaysOn editorial team, along with partners at Morgan Stanley, KPMG, Hewlett-Packard, Blackstone Group, Bridge Bank, Fenwick & West, Silicon Valley Bank, and industry experts across the globe scoured the entrepreneurial community to identify the top 100 private companies that are taking old notions of data management, customer relationships, and infrastructure and forging solutions that will shake up the industry and lead to huge value creation opportunities.

“As the digital information created by businesses continues to explode at astronomical rates, the need to store, manage, socialize, and share this information is becoming extremely challenging,” says Tony Perkins, founder and editor of AlwaysOn. “By providing innovative technologies that help enterprises better compete in this new era of information complexity and move their data out into the cloud, the OnDemand 100 represent some of the highest-growth opportunities in the private company marketplace.”

This year’s OnDemand 100 companies are leaders amongst their peers and developing game-changing approaches and technologies that are likely to push outside the bounds of existing markets and away from entrenched players. Companies were selected based on a set of five criteria: innovation, market potential, commercialization, stakeholder value, and media buzz.

Congratulations to all the 2011 OnDemand 100 winners. As the digital information created by businesses continues to explode at astronomical rates, OnDemand 100 companies are providing the technology platforms and services needed to manage and leverage this new era of information complexity and overload.

Tony Perkins is the founder and editor of AlwaysOn.

The winners of this competition will be officially honored at:

Producteev Tapped to Power the TechCrunch Disrupt Startup Battlefield application process!

Producteev-ers!

We wanted to share some more exciting news for Producteev that materialized in just a matter of days for us.  Some of you may have read TechCrunch’s post yesterday, where it formally opened up the submission process for startups to apply to its highly regarded TechCrunch Disrupt conference taking place from September 27 to September 29 in San Francisco.

Techcrunch_disrupt_-_producteev

What you may not know, however, is that out of numerous options available to TechCrunch, they selected Producteev to power all of the workflow involved around the event submission process!  We’re elated that TechCrunch recognized Producteev and thrilled to play such an integral role in this key industry event.

Producteev’s involvement not only enables the entire TechCrunch Disrupt team to stay on top of all of their tasks and collaborate efficiently, but all of the companies applying and selected get to test-drive Producteev during the process.  We’re really thrilled and see TechCrunch’s selection as a strong validation for Producteev’s fast and seamless ability to help users stay organized and on top of tasks across platforms and communication channels.

If you are a startup planning to apply (it’s right here : http://disrupt.producteev.com), remember the deadline is August 8, 2010.  We’d also love to hear back from you on your experience using Producteev if you happen to try it!

Good luck to all the applicants!

Producteev Redefines Task Management with New Breakthrough Product

Producteev Redefines Task Management with New Breakthrough Product

Producteev Two Gives Users the Fastest, Most Seamless Way to Stay Organized and On Top of Tasks Across All Platforms and Communication Channels

See a video of Producteev’s brand new Task Management application

New York, NY (PRWEB) June 2, 2010 — Producteev, a leading provider of cross platform task management, announced its breakthrough new product, Producteev Two. By plugging into the broadest array of popular communication tools, Producteev Two extends users’ ability to efficiently capture tasks, email-based action items or schedule deadlines, using whatever communication channel they prefer. The product, free to individuals, connects to a myriad of popular communication tools, so scheduling tasks is a seamless experience that doesn’t require any change in users’ workflow. People can now use a task manager without having to go to a web app if they don’t want to. They can send tasks from their email or IM and get notifications back. The company’s goal is to redefine the task management landscape, and help users achieve peace-of-mind by liberating individuals and teams from having to manage their tasks, workload and deadlines through their email inbox, since existing solutions have thus far fallen short.

In addition, the company announced the launch of Producteev Two for the iPhone and the planned release of its desktop client for the Mac platform, which will be available later this month. The mobile app, also free, works offline and syncs in the background when the user goes back online; it also sends push notifications. Producteev Two for the iPhone will be available for download on the iTunes App Store imminently.

“I’ve seen hundreds of project management systems and tested dozens, and none of them come close to Producteev Two. This product is the first that actually works the way I do,” stated Armando Corrales, a Producteev Two user.

The way people work today has grown increasingly complex with the use of multiple computers for work, home and travel, plus email, mobile, IM, desktop and the web. Although numerous productivity tools have been available for a long time, they haven’t kept pace in helping users stay connected to the growing array of communication tools that they’ve adopted. Users are encumbered more than ever before at trying to manage their email inboxes and with the new assignments and to-do items that arrive each day by way of email. Findings from a January survey by Harris Research concluded:

  • While email remains the preferred method of collaboration, many respondents complained they receive too much irrelevant email (40%) and that they lack the ability to collaborate in real time (32%). End users also dislike the fact that large volumes of email come into their inbox with no organizational structure (21%).
  • In addition to email, the Harris poll found that other applications being used by respondents to collaborate with others in the workplace include shared spaces (66%) instant messaging (34%), and social networking (17%) among others.

“I’ve seen hundreds of project management systems and tested dozens, and none of them come close to Producteev Two. This product is the first that actually works the way I do and doesn’t force me to go through additional steps of launching new applications or visiting another online site for every little update,” stated Armando Corrales, a small business owner and Producteev Two user based in Lynchburg, VA.

“Five years ago, we used email much differently than the way we use it today. At Producteev, we recognized it was important to help our customers harness email for what it does best—communicating, but we also needed to facilitate how people capture tasks with a complementary tool that plugs into a broad range of communication tools that are used daily,” stated Ilan Abehassera, Producteev’s co-founder and CEO.

Producteev Two helps individuals and teams get things done as efficiently as possible so they can be better organized, in control of their workload, and ultimately more at-ease. With Producteev Two, users won’t have to worry about forgetting tasks, important things to do or missing deadlines due to an action item being buried in their email inbox. Key features include:

Simpler

  • A simple, highly intuitive user interface for easy access to features such as: creating or assigning tasks, setting deadlines, scheduling alerts, and adding labels.
  • Turn emails into action-based tasks that can be customized later with notes, file attachments, hotlinks and tracking. Just forward emails to (task@producteev.com) for automatically creating to-do lists and reminders.

Faster

  • Skip needless, time-consuming steps as Producteev Two captures tasks and actions fast, taking only between 1 to 3 clicks.
  • A Gmail Gadget plugs directly into Producteev Two so users can quickly see and manage important tasks from Gmail.

More Connected

  • More than just a web-based solution, Producteev Two supports numerous platforms, including the web, desktop and mobile, enabling users to sync all of their tasks, across multiple devices, in real-time.
  • Supports various online IM services, including Gtalk, Yahoo! Messenger, AIM, ICQ, and Twitter to help capture important tasks immediately.
  • Implemented with Facebook Connect on the web, desktop and iPhone, users can invite colleagues or can jump into Producteev to update their to-do lists.

More Social

  • Collaborative task management is a breeze with shareable workspaces. Private social networks can be created around a team, and tasks can be assigned to members, with real-time transparency. A user could set up a workspace for work, another for school, and another personal one.
  • A planned API gives developers access to all of Producteev Two’s features, enabling them to develop a custom plug-in that sits on top of Producteev.
  • The Producteev Academy is a social feature that lets teams compete on being the most productive so they can earn recognition in a fun way.

Producteev Two is available immediately and is free for individuals or is available for businesses to purchase from a selection of plans.
